Reported Crop Circles for the State of California -

Vacaville, Solano County (July 8, 2003)

Measured at well over 500’ in length and about as long as the 9-house city block it was located close to, it is the largest corn formation recorded. Researchers were able to narrow down the time of formation to about a four-hour period on a Sunday afternoon, because the formation is located adjacent to a private airport where pilots that flew over the field and reported that it wasn’t there early in the afternoon, but was there before 5:00 p.m..

The stalks were both flattened and ‘severed’ – although the stalks that were ‘severed’ or ‘separated’ were missing from the formation. About 60% of the plant material was missing from the formation. Calculations on how much plant material was missing put it in the neighborhood of about a semi-truck’s worth. No tracks were found leading into the formation; no plant material was strewn about the field.
